Who is this qualification for?

For adults over 18 years of age with no previous electrical installation experience
Why take this course?
This course provides the knowledge, skills and qualifications to:

Install non-notifiable electrical circuits and equipment in houses and other types of domestic properties

Install and certificate notifiable electrical work that is subject to local authority building control requirements which will take into account your competence and qualifications

Apply to register on a Domestic Installer Scheme (e.g. ELECSA, NAPIT etc.) to certificate and sign off your own notifiable electrical work installed in a domestic environment without the need to apply for local authority building control

Inspect, test and certificate electrical equipment (PAT)

Increase your chances of employment opportunities within the electrical industry

On completion of this training programme, we highly recommend that new entrants to the industry work alongside a registered domestic installer or a qualified electrician for a suitable period of time to gain further on-site experience

Please be aware when applying for registration on a domestic installer scheme that your chosen scheme provider may require you to prove that you have sufficient experience of installing in the real world!
