Daytime course - 1 day including on-screen practice and final examinations

Flexible study option + 2 hours in-centre for practice and final examinations, for experienced electricians currently working in the electrical industry, associated industries and candidates with limited electrical experience. You will study on our e-learning platforms blended with traditional study using your own copy of the IET Electrician's Guide to the Building Regulations publication
Who is this qualification for?

Candidates who wish to understand the requirements of applicable Building Regulations (including Part P) in relation to electrical work in dwellings in England and Wales

Candidates who are already familiar with the requirements of BS 7671 in relation to electrical work in dwellings

This qualification provides an opportunity for candidates to understand the requirements of the Building Regulations applicable to electrical installations in dwellings for both Wales and England

Please be aware that this qualification on its own does not provide an exception for Part P notification requirements applicable to electrical work in domestic properties or provide a direct route to registration with a competent person scheme provider (ELECSA, NAPIT etc.)

A 40-minute 20 question on-screen multiple-choice examination (open book examination permits use of the IET Electricians Guide to the Building Regulations)
