What is this training package?
This flexible study and training package has been specifically designed for those who are new to the world of electrics, this continues to be our most popular training package for those looking to work within the domestic electrical installation marketplace.
It provides the opportunity to develop the essential knowledge, understanding of applicable regulations, practical skills required for the safe installation, inspection, testing and certification of electrical equipment and circuits within domestic environments and also the knowledge and skills to inspect and test portable appliances (more commonly known as PAT testing).

No problem, this training package has been designed for people just like you and will develop your knowledge and practical skills on a step by step basis.
What does this training package include?
This package includes four fully accredited qualifications as follows:

EAL Level 2 Award in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial verification

EAL Level 3 Award in the In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) (QCF)

In simple terms, the above qualifications will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to comply with the 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations, the Building Regulations, inspect and test new domestic electrical installations, inspect and test portable appliances together with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills to safely install electrical equipment and circuits within domestic premises.
How will you study?
You will immediately commence the development of your practical skills in our training workshop and your studies on the EAL Level 3 Award in the Building Regulations for Electrical Installations in Dwellings qualification.
You will continue the development of your practicals skills in our our training workshop and, following successful achievement of the Building Regulations qualification, progress to your studies on to the EAL Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2018 qualification (more commonly known as the 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations).
Following successfull achievement of the 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations qualification, you will commence your studies on the EAL Level 2 Award in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial verification qualification together with the development of your inspection and testing practical skills in our training workshop.
Finally, following successful achievement of the inspection and testing qualification, you progress on to your studies on to the EAL Level 3 Award in the In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) qualification together with the development of your practical skills in our training workshop.
We understand how difficult it can be to commit to a course that requires attendance at a training centre or college on fixed dates and times, therefore we offer a more flexible approach to training for those of you who have busy lifestyles or simply cannot take time off from work.
This package provides the opportunity for you to study on any device (mobile phone, tablet or PC), anywhere at any time using our professional e-learning platforms, directed and supported by a dedicated personal tutor blended with traditional course book study.
The development of your practical skills in our training workshop, on-line examinations and assessments will require you to attend our training centre for 6 days and 9 mornings or 9 days and 3 mornings, typically delivererd over a 15-21 week period but we offer this on a very flexible basis with attendance being programmed at mutually agreed times.
You will also be required to attend our centre for on-line examinations and assessments, once again these will be planned to take place at mutually agreed times.
No quiet time at home or elsewhere to study?
No problem, this training package allows you to use our training centre facilities to study in peace and quiet when you want and for however long you want, all we ask is that you contact us at least 24 hours in advance of your intention to study in the centre to make sure we have enough space for you, rarely a problem but we wouldn’t want to cause you any inconvenience.
This innovative, flexible approach to learning provides you with the added benefit of having an expert member of staff on hand to direct and support your studies if needed at no extra cost.

In-centre study facilities are available Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm. Alternative times may be available subject to operational demands at the training centre, simply call us and ask if you would like to come into the centre at a different time!
