    Course Duration 

    • Blended flexible study and training programme - Requires 7 hours attendance at our training centre for development of practical skills, on-line examinations and practical competence assessment.

     

    Who is this qualification for?

    • Those who wish to carry out formal inspections and tests of electrical equipment (no previous knowledge or experience needed)

    • Electricians who wish to enhance their knowledge and skill

    • Those who wish to pursue a career in the building services industry on either a direct or self-employed basis

    • This award follows the industry recognised IET Code of Practice published by the Institution of Engineering Technology 

     

    What is this qualification?

    • This course provides the recognised theory and practice to manage, inspect and test electrical equipment that is in-service

    • One on screen exam and a Centre marked practical assessment

     

    What will you need to provide?

    • Writing materials and safety footwear for practical workshop activities

    • Copy of the IET Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment 4th Edition (Please note: The 5th edition will be required for those commemncing the course after August 2020)
